Educational publishers
I’ve had many stories, poems, articles and plays published in the School Journal, and Connected, and, in Australia, in Comet, Explore, Challenge and the School Magazine (NSW). I’ve written plays for Readers’ Theater and had several titles published in the Ready to Read series, including Dawn Parade, Scarecrows from Space, Duckling Palace, Red Rattlers and Sunbear Special. Some of my stories have been broadcast on Radio New Zealand. I’ve written stories for Rainbow Reading, Gilt Edge Publishing, Essential Resources, Orbit, New Heights, Dragonflies and First Stories, among others.
I’ve written poems, plays and stories about fireworks and frogs, pirates and aliens, superheroes and skateboarders, robots and bank robbers, bushfires and ballet, palm trees and sand dunes, muffins and popcorn, cooks, detectives, TV newsreaders and even the richest girl in the world.
I’ve written articles about Anzac biscuits and the Bulford Kiwi, Violet Walrond (our first female Olympian), Clyde the escaping otter, and other animals both small and large, from wētā to greyhounds to the colossal squid at Te Papa. Here are just a few examples of some of those publications.
